Fresh products are seasonal and their harvest takes place for a very short period of time. This means that large quantities of fresh produce (fruit or vegetables) must be processed as soon as possible to ensure their quality.

At the same time, the consumer market demands these products all year round. This is why food and beverage producers need aseptic storage to be able to store fruits and vegetables throughout the year, regardless of the season.

There are 4 types of aseptic storage:

By tanks: to store from 1000 to 4 million liters. These are gallons that can contain several million liters.

By barrels: made of metal or cardboard, storage capacity up to 200 liters. They contain sterilized plastic bags. This is the most appropriate option for small producers when the product is sold by small delivery. The inner product has been previously sterilized. They can be delivered anywhere in the world without the need to be refrigerated. For packaging, sterile aseptic fillers are used and protected from the air as an ideal solution.

By bins: capacity of 1000 kg. This system is identical to that of the storage barrels, with the only difference that the container has in this case a maximum capacity of 1000 kg. They can also be made from cardboard or wood. They are best suited for products shipped to medium and long distance.

Aseptic Farms: for large storage volume. They are composed of tanks with capacities ranging from 25,000 liters to 4 million liters.

Loading and unloading is done automatically under sterile conditions.
The tanks are sterilized by injecting steam, which will then be replaced by sterile nitrogen.

Tank cleaning is performed by an automated CIP system.

The pressure level and the volume are checked every minute, so that a rupture of the tank is detected before the product is tampered with. Thanks to the nitrogen present in the tanks, there is no oxidation of the product, the shelf life of the product can then extend.
